Why join us?
A realization that compels us
The philosopher Julia de Funès puts it with unsettling clarity: Through a surfeit of demagoguery and sentimentality, high standards have come to be seen as a form of violence, and mediocrity as a virtue.
Our education system, in its sincere fear of replicating the excesses of an authoritarian past, has swung to the opposite extreme. Within it, egalitarianism has gradually cast merit as a threat, talent as a provocation, and ambition as a mere personal whim. The result is that we demotivate those who strive to excel, deprive society of the elites it needs, and offer the most determined young people an environment that holds them back rather than propelling them forward.
And yet, sport reminds us every day that another culture is possible — one of supportive high standards, of pushing beyond our limits, and of collective pride in excellence. Why not bring to our classrooms and lecture halls what we cheer for in our stadiums? This observation is not an indictment. It is an invitation to act.

Association Clara Géry :
rewarding excellence, supporting the future
The Clara Géry Association was born of this conviction: merit deserves to be recognized.
Established exclusively for the public good and on a non-profit basis, it pursues a simple, concrete mission: to raise funds and distribute them in full—in the form of scholarships—to primary, middle, and high school pupils, university students, and apprentices who stand out for their academic excellence and the strength of their future plans.
However, the Clara Géry Association does not reward academic performance alone. It seeks well-rounded individuals: young people who, beyond their grades, demonstrate open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity—evidenced by their involvement in community, cultural, artistic, or philanthropic activities. It looks for young people who understand the purpose of their studies and their desired path, and who possess essential human qualities: empathy, the ability to listen, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills. These are the young people—demanding of themselves, open to the world, and driven by a well-considered vision—whom the Clara Géry Association chooses to support. They are the ones we invite you to back.

Your commitment, their springboard
Getting involved with the Clara Géry Association means taking concrete action to foster a society that once again believes in its own talents.
For individuals, a donation—even a modest one—directly helps fund a scholarship that can change a young person's life path. Your generosity is not consumed by overhead costs: the Association commits to allocating the full amount of funds raised, deducting only the strictly necessary operating expenses.
For companies, partnering with the Clara Géry Association through corporate sponsorship is far more than just a tax-efficient move. It is a public statement that your organization believes in merit, ambition, and excellence in education. It is an investment in the talent pool of tomorrow. Ultimately, it is a way to help make academic success a source of collective pride—just like the medals won by our champions.
Success need not apologize for its existence. It needs a helping hand.
Join the Clara Géry Association. Together, let us make excellence a shared value.
